I don’t know about you but I love all sorts of colours. I don’t always wear all sorts of colours but I do appreciate them. Having said this….I have become increasingly brave in recent years and am starting to worry less about current trends and more about what colours look good on me. And I think this is the real key to success when wearing colours.
At Out & About Clothing we pride ourselves on having a huge range of colours available for our rugby’s. We look for points of difference and areas where we can make ourselves better than any competitors. We find that many commercially, mass produced product lines that our competitors have are limited to the ‘colours of the season’. They might run with 5 or 6 colours and you either like them or lump them! We know that many of our customers have quite a number of our rugby’s and are always on the lookout for a new one to add to their collection. This can often be achieved by changing the combination of colours on the collars and trims – which can create an entirely different look but still maintain the same base colour of the rugby.
We also strive to regurlarly add entirely new rugby colours to our range to provide something different and to help cater for everyone. We appreciate that not everyone likes the same colours and not everyone can wear the same colours.
Over the 15 years that Out & About Clothing had been running, we have also gotten to know you the customer and what your needs and wants are. I found it interesting last year when selecting new stripe rugby combinations for our range; The fabric company that I purchase my fabric from is an Australian business whom I have built a great relationship with over the years. We have come to an understanding now that I can choose my own colour combinations and they will arrange the manufacture of these fabrics. However, I found it interesting that they were doubting my colour selections last year. They asked all the women who worked in their office if they were fond of my colour choices and they were all sceptical! ‘Far too colourful for them’ apparently. Well guess what? You loved them. I managed to convince the company that I probably know my customers better than them and they run with my choices and …….well…….I think I was right! Yes, not all of our choices are for everyone but I’d like to think that somewhere in the range of 400+ rugby combinations that there is one there for you. Alternatively you can of course create your own combination…..and we are fine with this too!
I do not have any scientific way to choose new colours and combinations. I have no training. I have no piece of paper showing my design degree. I just put together what I think looks nice! Enjoy!
